EDyP – Grenoble

The EDyP team  is part of the “Biologie à Grande Echelle“ Lab in the iRTSV institute which is located in Grenoble.

EDyP is a 40 scientists team which develops proteomics strategies as part of a broader range of biologically relevant projects. Strengthened by its expertise in biochemistry, analytical sciences, mass spectrometry, computer technology, bioinformatics and biostatistics, EDyP develops new analytical methods in the field of high throughput quantitative proteomics and offers state-of-the-art facility to the community.

The know-how developed by EDyP is recognized at the national and european levels. Indeed, EDyP was a member of Prime-XS (2011-2015), a consortium of 12 partners which provide European Union funded access to an infrastructure of state-of-the-art proteomics technology to the biological and biomedical research community in Europe.

The EDyP proteomics platform uses automated sample preparation and eight ESI-MS/MS instruments (one Q-Exactive, two LTQ-OrbiTraps, one TripleTof 6600 and three Q-Trap mass spectrometers) each coupled to  liquid chromatography devices. Informatics tools, notably developed in-house, are continuously irrigating proteomic pipelines and make it possible to interpret, mine, store, archive and retrieve the continuously growing flow of generated information. The new developments conducted at EDyP team are often realized within the framework of collaborations carried out with academic (in the context ofcalls  ANR, ERC, FP7, INCa projects) and industrial laboratories, and cover the following major themes: epigenetics, plant proteomics and clinical proteomics. Also, both EDyP and the Cell & Plant Physiology Laboratory of iRTSV are involved in the “GRAL” Laboratoire of excellence which is a large structuring project regrouping 3 research institutes in Grenoble: iRTSV, IBS and UVHCI. With all these collaborators, EDyP has published more than 150 publications in international journals during the last 10 years.

To guarantee the reliability and traceability of methods and results, the EDyP team implemented a quality approach which led to ISO 9001 (July 2009) and NFX 50-900 (July 2014) certifications.
